“I have toured internationally and performed in some of the most incredible venues, working alongside outstanding sound engineers throughout my career. I can honestly say that Tee is, without question, one of my favourites.
The sound was exceptional from the very first note. I play a 1905 parlour guitar, and because of its age and character, it can sometimes be difficult to amplify well. Every sound engineer approaches it differently, and if the sound isn’t right it can really affect my confidence as a performer. With Tee, I didn’t have to explain a thing. They instinctively understood the instrument. Within moments, it sounded exactly as it does acoustically — warm, detailed and completely true to the guitar itself. It was one of the best live guitar sounds I’ve ever had.
What impressed me just as much was Tee’s attitude. Just before the performance, I had a spontaneous idea to move out of the marquee and perform in the festival itself because the sunset was too beautiful to miss. Many people would have seen that as a logistical headache. Tee’s response was immediate: total enthusiasm, complete positivity and an effortless “Let’s do it. ” No hesitation, no stress — just a genuine desire to make the performance the best it could be.
As an artist, that’s priceless. Tee made me feel completely safe, supported and able to focus solely on the music. They anticipated what was needed before I even had to ask.
Tee is also an exceptional musician, and their musical instincts shine through in every decision they make. Their input and understanding elevated the whole performance, and it’s clear they care deeply about serving both the artist and the audience.
Beyond the technical ability, Tee brought an incredible energy to the entire festival. They created a brilliant atmosphere, played fantastic music, treated every artist with respect and enthusiasm, and brought a level of grounded and supportive professionalism that immediately put everyone at ease.
